Make-up Sisters

Denise has always been fascinated by cosmetics. She is "experimenting" on Debbie with her "Disney Princess" make-up...:)

The Solar System

I was impressed when Denise came home one day singing this song...

"There are 9 planets going round the Sun
There are 9 planets going round the Sun
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
Followed by Pluto!"

My 4 year old daughter taught me how to sing the song and now, I can memorise the 9 planets in the Solar System....:)

Thanks, Pat's Schoolhouse!

When I Grow Up

Daddy: "Denise, what do you want to be when you grow up?"

Denise: "I want to be a.....doctor!"

Daddy: "Why do you want to be a doctor?"

Denise: "I want to save people."

:)

Using the Chopsticks

When we were in Hong Kong, we bought this pair of training chopsticks for Denise. She tried using it twice but failed.

Last Friday, we went for lunch with my Dad and Mel at Soup Restaurant. And Denise could pick up a PEANUT with her chopsticks!

Initially we thought she was just "lucky" at first try... But she managed to continue eating with her chopsticks. See that excitement in her smile and eyes!!!

Debbie - FIRST Solid

Debbie turns 6 months today. I let her tried Heinz - Baby's First Rice Cereal. She was more interested in the spoon than the food!...:) She looked a little shocked when she first tasted the cereal. I noticed she was "learning" how to swallow it.
She did not take more than a TEASPOON. Guess it will take a while before she gets used to the texture and taste.

Denise & Debbie

Sleeping Beauties

Some peaceful time at home...:)

Denise - Back To School (K1)

Denise is K1 this year. Her new class is called "Da Vinci". I was informed by her teacher, Ms Wendy, to dress her in ORANGE (her class colour) on the first day.

Took her for a haircut and made her slept early the night before so that she can wake up early today. Even though she was a little tired, she was excited to go back to school...:) Daddy dropped her off and she even told him that she can walk to her new class herself!

Trip To Singapore Science Centre

With Auntie Mel's help, I managed to bring Denise (with Debbie in toll) to the Science Centre on her birthday! The place was a little too confusing for a 4 year old...:) Only managed to get her interested in some exhibit. Did not complete the entire tour within 3 hours; will bring her back again perhaps in 2 year's time!

Before we left, we visited the Water Garden outside Science Centre. Did not plan to get her wet. She stood by the side, watching other children played in the water. Auntie Mel asked why don't I let her play in the water... Remembering that it was her birthday, I decided to let her "messed up", for once...:p

When I asked her if she wanted to play in the water, her eyes lit up!!! I think she wanted to play in the water but probably thinking that I would say "no", she didn't even ask... (good girl, right?) See how happy she was...

If you ask her what's the best part about Singapore Science Centre, she will undoubtedly say it was the Water Play! And of course, the MacDonald outlet located outside!
